Prof. Srinivasan Tatachari

TA PAI Institute of Management

The focus of this track is on the emergence, role and impacts of leadership in the Indian context against the backdrop of the theme for the conference. The track welcomes submissions from researchers that address leadership at different levels in both for-profit and non-profit settings, and in both formal and informal sectors of the economy. We encourage submissions that are closely tied to the conference theme exploring questions such as: How do Indian leaders prepare for and deal with technological disruptions? What roles can and should leaders play in dealing with the after-effects of disruption? Are there differences in leader behaviors and their influence due to regional, institutional or organizational factors? Are there aspects of leadership that are unique to India? In what ways are these unique characteristics rooted in culture or institutional arrangements? We encourage papers that employ a variety of approaches that are appropriate to answer the research questions including in-depth case studies, field-based qualitative and quantitative studies, experiments involving student subjects or practitioners, and archival studies using secondary data. Descriptive or theory papers that address the conference theme as related to leadership are also welcome.
